CARFAX text messages

1. CARFAX uses cell phone text messaging when consumers opt-in or request specific information be sent directly to their phone.  Some examples of specific information requests include sending a link to a used car listing from https://carfax.com or sending driving directions to a dealership.

2. You can cancel the mobile notifications at any time. Just text "STOP" to the number that sent you the notification.  Most CARFAX notifications will come from 227329 (Trust me, it spells CARFAX).  After you send the “STOP” message to us, we will send you a reply message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will not receive text messages from CARFAX unless you are subscribed. If you want to join again, just sign up as you did the first time or text “START” to us.

3. If you are experiencing issues with the messaging program you can send the keyword “HELP” and we will reply with the link to this page where you can use the “Contact Us” form below to notify us of your specific issue.   CARFAX will always identify itself on all messages.

4. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

5. As always, message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, it is best to contact your wireless provider.

6. If you have any questions regarding privacy, please read our privacy policy: https://www.carfax.com/company/privacy-statement
